  • Councillors Visit to Northern!

Tue 11 Oct 2022 Mrs Melvin

Today we had an assembly with 2 very special guests! Councillors Andy Macnae and Jackie Oakes came into school to listen to our Northern family's plea to keep us safe from speeding drivers. The children told them all about what we had learnt and why we had written letters pleading for something to be done on the road outside school to keep us all safe. Our school council presented  Jackie and Andy with the letters and then told the children they would do their best to help us and gave us 3 jobs to do. Job 1 - display our new banner from Lancashire Highways on the school railings; Job 2 - put a Slow Down Save Lives sticker on our bins at home and Job 3 - speak to our parents about slowing down past our school. Watch this space for some extra road safety features around school!
