The jubilee event was well attended by children from all across school. We made crowns, soldiers and frames. We all had a great time!

Join us for a special World Book Day themed session based on two books by 'the author of the moment': Tom Fletcher. Expect monsters, dinosaurs and poop! (yes, we did write that!).

Elastic band powered car
Year One worked so hard on making cars this morning. They were not easy as I found out! I had to use lots of sellotape to make sure the wheels didn’t come off. I know you all had fun and it might have inspired you into making other wheeled vehicles- or robots! Here are some of the pictures.....

Year Five enjoyed a session on Tuesday with Lancashire Adult Learning. They made various pictures based on space. They look fab!

Year Three Cave Art.
Year 3 had great fun this afternoon learning a bit more about the Stone Age. They received a pack of paper, pastels, card and extra resources and set to work to create 2 amazing pictures....

Lancashire Adult Learning can provide lots of different lessons during this period of lockdown. I am organising at least one lesson for each class with the team during the next few weeks...I will be sending out notice texts. If you haven’t tried one before have a go! There is also free, live, online classrooms- courses for parents to support their children to 'catch up with maths and English'. Family learning courses for groups of children/ and parents in self isolation. Alongside the Maths and English there are also courses featuring yoga, science, Art and craft and engineering!
Festive crafts Key stage 2. Thursday 3rd December.
Parents and children enjoyed making various Christmas crafts. We joined with another school whilst online but the more the merrier! We made headbands, Christmas tree decorations and an advent calendar. Have a look at some of the photographs below...
Christingle workshop
Tonight we found out all about Christingles and how Christians count down to Christmas. We received a pack with all the materials in to make our own christingles and we followed the instructions with the team step by step. We found out what each part of the christingle represents. After we painted a paper plate to create an advent picture. The children all had fun!
Well done to Year 3 who took part in the STEAM session this afternoon with Lancashire Adult Learning. They completed three tasks which involved Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. They all had great fun...
Thank you so much to those parents who joined in from Reception and Year One for the spooky craft zoom session. It was the first time we had done such an event and I’m sure you will agree it was great! Here are examples of the bookmark and the lantern that were made......
I will be setting up more of these style involvements and will try and vary the classes each time. There are various online courses etc.. detailed below on their web page. Some are zoom type meetings and others you can access in your own time. Have a browse!
