Good afternoon everyone, I hope you have had a great day. I have loved getting the photos of the work you have been doing. I wonder how many of you were imagining yourselves in our classroom looking at the shape posters hanging on the line to help you with the Maths work? Jack made a 3d shape especially for me today.....it was just missing the chocolate inside! Can you guess which shape he made?

The sun has been shining all day but the weather forecast on my phone says thunderstorms are on their way again.

Good morning Year 2, I hope you are all OK? What did you think of the storm yesterday? I was chatting to Miss Collins via WhatsApp last night and strangely she had no rain despite only living on the other side of Accrington to me; 5 minutes in the car! The weather acts very strangely at times! I wonder what is in store for us today?

You will be having fun with some nonsense words in Literacy today. If you need some ideas you could look on Phonics Play https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/ at the games we used to play in class.

In Maths you will be sorting shapes in different ways. Do you remember when we were sorting children into different hoops in our class and you had to decide how they had been sorted? That was fun!

In Science you will be learning about the body and senses. Cast your mind back; can you remember the five senses?
