  • Year 5's Science Festival.

    Today our Year 5 children attended a Science Festival at Burnley College. The children learnt and saw a lot of amazing new things and they had an amazing time in the process. The children had a fantastic day and came away with a whole new fountain of knowledge.
  • Creepy Crawly Workshop

    Today our school has had a very interesting visitor. We have had a Creepy Crawly Workshop for our Year 2 and Year 3 children who got the opportunity to see lots of different insects and animals. They learnt about all of their habitats and how they survive. They learnt lots of new facts and asked some excellent questions! Well done Year 2 and Year 3!
  • Year 4's Viking Workshop

    Today our Year 4 children had a very exciting visitor. The children had a real life Viking come into school and teach them all about the Vikings and show them replicas of the weapons and tools they would have used back then. She taught them all about a Viking funeral and how they prepared for battle. Well done Year 4!
  • UKCA Cheerleading Competition

    Today 17 of our talented KS2 girls travelled to Manchester Velodrome to take part in a cheerleading competition. They showed exceptional dancing and cheer skills alongside fantastic cheer spirit and behaviour. They did both themselves and the school proud and to quote UKCA "We are proud of you say we are proud of you!" The staff and children had an amazing time so well done to all involved and special thanks to the parents who attended and supported us too!
  • Penalty Shoot Out

    Today our children have all taken part in a penalty shoot out on the field. This was organised and delivered by Accrington Stanley as part of our Joy of Moving Festival. The children have had a great time and judging by what the teachers saw, Gareth Southgate could use their tactics for his England team. Well done Northern!
  • The Joy of Moving Festival

    This week we have had our Joy of Moving Festival delivered by Accrington Stanley. The whole school have taken part in workshops delivered by Dylan, Matt and Olivia. They played lots of team-based activities learning and showing off new skills. The children have all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and are ready for the penalty shoot out tomorrow! Well done children!
  • Lego Workshop

    Today our KS 2 children had the opportunity to work with their parents in a Lego workshop organised by the Family Learning Centre. The children created some super models and then used balloons to make them build speed. It was lovely to see everyone having fun!
  • King Arthur's Visit

    Thu 13 Jun 2019
    Today in school, we have had been entertained by actors who came into school to tell the KS2 children all about the story of King Arthur. We met the knights of the round table, the wise women of the forest, Merlin and King Arthur himself. The children watched in awe as the story came to life. The actors commented on the children's behaviour saying they were one of the best audiences they had had. Well done KS2!
  • Year 4's United Utilities Day

    Today our Year 4 class had a workshop organised and delivered by United Utilities. The children learnt all about water safety, the water cycle and how to be water efficient. They completed many tasks and activities and had a great time making their Water Water topic come to life. Well done Year 4!
  • Hothersall Lodge

    This weekend our Year 6 children have had an incredible time at Hothersall Lodge for their end of year residential. Despite the weather, the children have made some amazing memories and learnt lots of new things as well as took part in numerous challenges. Well done Year 6!
