Gawthorpe Hall

We had an amazing time on Wednesday visiting Gawthorpe Hall. It was their first time on a school trip and they behaved very well. It was very exciting for them to be sat together on a coach! They made Cornucopia’s for their Christmas trees using Victorian style wrapping paper and a cardboard ‘Horn of plenty’. They learnt how a Christmas pudding is traditionally made and the ingredients used and they all got to make a wish! Traditional songs and games were taught which we will practise back in school. The best bit was meeting Father Christmas himself. He took time out of his busy plans to tell the class about traditional Christmas stockings and they got to tell him what they would like on Christmas morning.

Look at the fun we had....
