Summer 2 Wk3 Thursday

Good afternoon, I don't think it has stopped raining all day! We've not even been out with Flynn yet so he's sulking in the hall at the moment!

I hope you have all had a good day, who can believe it's Friday tomorrow?

Good morning Year 2, I hope you are all well. It's hard to believe it is Thursday again, where is the time going?

I have absolutely loved reading your poems so far this week. Tuesday’s Literacy was a poem about my favourite colour, today’s is a poem about one of my favourite foods! Which food will you choose to write a poem about?

Maths is patterns with shapes and in DT you will be finding out about repeating patterns. Lots to keep you busy as the weather looks a bit dull today. Don't forget your Reading Eggs comprehension work as well.

On Sunday it is 'Make Music Day'. Have a look at https://makemusicday.co.uk/bash-the-trash/We would like you to make a musical instrument out of any junk you can find. On the website there are instructions to follow or you can let your imagination run riot! I was looking at an empty Pringles tube but Mrs Rothwell got Mr Rothwell busy with lengths of metal pipes to make an instrument- you can be as adventurous as you like! When you have made an instrument send us a short video so we can listen to the sound as well.

Today's challenge:

Have a good day everyone, I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Mrs Hill
