  • Christmas Jumper Day

    Fri 11 Dec 2020
As part of our Rights Respecting School work today we helped show that we care about children across the world who do not have access to the same rights as we do at Northern. We all wore our Christmas Jumpers to school and made a donation to Save the Children. Who knew there were so many Christmas jumpers out there! Everyone looked amazing - even our Reception and Year 1 children who joined in when they were back in school.
  • Northern Super Fundraising Madness!

    Thu 10 Dec 2020
Our Northern community is an overwhelmingly caring place to be and today just proved that. Today the whole school community came together to raise money to support one of our families. Not only did lots of activities take place in school to raise money but children also took it upon themselves to raise money at home too. In total we managed to raise over £2 000. I am lost for words - sensational!

A scrumptious Christmas dinner was enjoyed by children and staff today thanks to our amazing catering team Debbie, Julie and Michelle. Thank you ladies.
  • A special festive visitor

    Wed 09 Dec 2020
Today Father Christmas visited Northern and delivered a special present for every child to outside of their classroom door. It is definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
  • Christmas Pantomime

    Wed 09 Dec 2020

How fantastic is our Northern PTA! To ensure the children were all able to enjoy our annual Christmas pantomime fun the PTA ordered a digital version of a pantomime for the children to watch in their bubbles. The PTA even provided popcorn for the children to munch on as they watch the pantomime just as if they were at the theatre.

What amazing fun was enjoyed by all.

Thank you so much to our fantastic PTA.

  • A Bubble Of A Christmas Celebration

    Mon 07 Dec 2020

There was no way Northern staff were going to allow COVID-19 to put a stop to our traditional Christmas celebrations in school.

The Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 staff all came up with a master plan of how the children would still be able to perform the Christmas story and be able to perform it for their families.

We hope there wasn't a dry eye in the house when you watched your DVDs at home. Amazing!

  • Christingle Fun

    Mon 07 Dec 2020
Today our children in Key Stage 1 enjoyed the opportunity to take part in Christingle fun with Lancashire Adult Learning.
  • What a busy week!

Mon 07 Dec 2020 Mrs Ewens

Well, what a busy week we have planned in school this week!  Here are the key dates for you:

Tuesday 8th December - The last day for children to bring Christmas cards in for their friends - this is so we can keep all of the cards together or 72 hours before handing them out to all children.

Wednesday 9th December- Christmas Dinner Day.

Wednesday 9th December - Father Christmas will be making a socially distanced appearance with a sack of presents for each class.

Thursday !0th December - Fundraising day for Luke ( details of this will have come out from each class teacher separately).

Thursday 10th December - Final day to purchase raffle tickets for the chocolate tombola.

Friday 11th December - Christmas Jumper Day and parties/pantomime (as we are ensuring that children adhere to social distancing guidelines as far as possible, parties will involve snacks for the children whilst watching a pantomime which has been purchased by the PTA.  They have also provided popcorn for all children and school will provide other treats too so there is no need for children to bring anything in.)  On this day, children are to wear school uniform but with a Christmas jumper.

Friday 11th December - Chocolate tombola will be drawn.
