Northern is an amazing place for our children to learn. In our latest news section we will share with you the latest events taking place across the school. More detailed information can be found on your child's class website page.
On the 28th November, Year 2 and Year 6 were visited by the fire service and took place in two very different workshops!
Year 2 children enjoyed an interactive session, in which the fire service discussed fire safety, checking fire alarms at home, what to do in the event of a fire and what to say on the phone. The children had lots of fun too, trying on the protective clothing.
Year 6 children enjoyed a very informative 'Road Sense' session. The children were given guidance to help with the transition from primary to high school including:
All the children took an active part in the session and listened well to the very important advice they were given.
A big thank you to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service for taking the time to visit our school.
Today children from Year 4 and 6 walked to Deerplay along with parents, local councillors and Bacup History trust. Children completed readings and a minutes silence was observed followed by The Last Post played on a bugle. It was a truly moving morning.
The PTA have done it again! They organised 2 fantastic discos which all of the children thoroughly enjoyed. We had dance competitions and pumpkin competitions, face painting and snacks. It is so lovely to see all of the children enjoying themselves so much.
Thank you PTA from all of us at Northern.
