• Children Power!

  This week the children have been writing letters to Lancashire County Council about getting speed restrictions in place outside school. This is a joint initiative with Anna's Cafe Bar and the police. All classes have been learning about how to stay safe and just how dangerous the speeding cars are to the lives of our children! The children have all written very powerful letters and we now have our local and county councillors involved so watch this space! Here are a sample of just some of them!

  

• Year 2 Author Visit!

  Today our Year 2 children had a real-life author come to visit them!

  Mike aka 'Sam Shepherd' the author came to read his book 'The Great Bone Robbery' about a dog who was a police officer. He told the children stories about his time as a Police Officer. He joined when he was 16 years old. Year 2 told us that their favourite story was about a group of silly criminals who stole shaving foam and sprayed it in a line on walls all the way back to their own house! After all his tips and advice, you need to watch this space for some amazing Year 2 story writers!
