Today maths work is focusing on addition to 20 but with a code breaking challenge.
When we add numbers together the answer gets bigger.
Take a look at this example;
I have worked out what each number each emoji represents so I know what calculation I am looking at. I have then used the number line to check my answer. I started at 7, as this is my beginning number, then jumped 8 times to find my answer.
Have a go and see if you can crack the code to help you work out the answers.
You can use this number line or any objects in your house to help you add the numbers together.
