Science and DT
In science today we were using our vocabulary to describe the properties of different materials. We had to choose an item each in small groups and then stand in order with our items to show how they fit with the rules such as bumpy to smooth, hard to soft etc. Some were easy to decide but others were a bit tricky. Have a look at our ideas, do you agree?
Then in DT we were looking at what makes something strong. We looked at paper, paper straws and a book and discussed why the exercise book was stronger. We then had either 2 straws or 2 pieces of paper and had to try to make them stronger somehow. Lots of us realised folding and sellotape were key!
