Children's Mental Health Week

We discussed a range of emotions and how our bodies feel when we experience them. We also talked about what situations can make these emotions happen.

 

We practised some calming breathing techniques and then discussed strategies and techniques we can use to "ground" ourselves again. These included colouring, singing, thinking of things we love/are grateful for, counting objects or certain colours and so much more.

 

We completed some "Unwind your mind" sheets that had lots of small activities on that can all be used to help us regulate ourselves and emotions.
