Mapping Conundrum

We are absolutely loving our topic this half term - Have you got your passport ready? - I think we'll have some keen world explorers in the near future! After discovering our destination, we used atlases to help us locate where in Europe the Costa Blanca is. Many of the class deciphered 'Costa' as a Spanish word! Very impressive knowledge. Then we used the compass on the maps to learn where South-East Spain was and finally we located the major cities in the region of South-East Spain. We've also completed a huge research project to discover what the human geography of South-East Spain is like! We have a surprise in stall next week and I can't wait to let the children know we will be speaking to some residents of South-East Spain!
