Today, Tuesday, 9 February 2021, the school community of Northern whether at home or in school celebrated Safer Internet Day. Our teachers and children joined in with teachers and children across the globe exploring the theme of "Together for a better internet". The activities in school helped everyone at Northern to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children not just at Northern but for those across the globe. Go to your child's class website page to discover more about today's activities.
This week the children in school and at home have been talking about 'Children's Mental Health Week.'
This year's theme is 'Express Yourself' and is focused on getting children and adults to find creative ways to share their thoughts, feelings and emotions through activities like music, art, dance or photography.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of charity Place2Be, got this week's campaign up and running with a message of support encouraging all of us to share and discuss how we feel, especially during this difficult time.
