Chinese New Year!

In Year 6, we were lucky enough to research and create a piece of sensational writing for The World Around Us Board in the hall. We watched a video all about what happens and why and also watched the mythical story of how the Chinese Calendar was created! As a special treat, we all had prawn crackers to eat whilst we were working hard.

We were also lucky that we had Lorcan and Chloe in class who could tell us first-hand how they celebrate and what they had done. Chloe showed us her red envelope and gave everyone in class a fortune cookie and Lorcan brought us in a dumpling each! We were totally spoilt this Chinese New Year!
