Today our Years 4, 5 and 6 children walked around the school field and held their very own Remembrance Service to mark the end of the war. The Year 6 children read out readings and Flander's Field and the Year 4 and 5 children created poppy wreaths to be laid at the tree. The pupils of Year 6 also decorated the school railings with poppy-shaped thank you letters to the soldiers. They listened to the Last Post and marked the 2 minute silence with the utmost respect.

The following information has been shared with all local schools. A new gymnastics academy is now running at The Valley Leadership Academy as a partnership between schools and the Rossendale Leisure Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to receive gymnastics training. All the details of when the sessions are taking place and how to book are included on the flyer below.
