Creative Friday in Year 6!
Today in Year 6 we have had a spooky creative day! First of all, we looked at a haunted house which had lots of scary scenarios! The children chose their own groups and created a story for one of the rooms in the house. They then shared this with the class using Drama. The children had a fantastic time doing this! After this, they created their own monster character - some of which were pretty gruesome and I am convinced they are trying to give me nightmares! This afternoon we then worked in Reception with our reading buddies and completed some literacy work on the poem Halloween Night by Denise Cocchiaro. The Year 6's worked hard to teach Reception all about rhyming words and then created their own poems. We finished the afternoon off with some art work with Reception creating scary halloween masks!
