Week 6 Friday

End of the day...

It has been a bit cold today. I have been in school and playtimes have been decidedly chilly!! Well done to those of you who have sent in work. I hope you have a lovely weekend. It looks like the weather may improve so I hope you get to venture outside.

Mrs Dixon

Good morning everyone!

Happy Friday.

Last day of learning for the week. Well done to all who have sent in work this week. I hope you enjoy your tasks today on BBC Bitesize of drawing and painting for Art and Challenge of the week for maths. I look forward to seeing your information fact files about rabbits from the Lancashire plans. Have fun...

Shooting star this week goes to Sam. Sam has worked very hard this week, even when ill. He has gone above and beyond with all the tasks set, everyday. Well done Sam...it is much deserved.smiley

Challenge for the day....listen to David Walliams read a daily free story from The World’s Worst Children. Www.theworldofdavidwalliams.com Have you read or watched the programmes for any of his other books? Which is your favourite? I have just started to read Awful Auntie to Toby at bedtime.

I am in school again today so hopefully the sun will shine and we can have playtimes outside at the very least! It is one more week until half term which I am sure you are all looking forward to. Keep going!

Mrs Dixon

Hello Year 1 – Friday again! smiley

Hope you’ve all had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. Remember its the last day for the Quiz today. If you would like to have a go click on ‘Week 6 Wednesday’ page and send me your answers eball@northern.lancs.sch.uk wink

I have another little challenge for you today. A little while ago you were working on 3D shapes. Can you remember all of them? Here’s a little picture to help.

Today can you spot the shapes around your house or outside? See if you can write down which object you saw for each shape. Some of them will be tricky to spot, don't worry if you can't find all of them!

Hope you have a great Friday - good luck with the shape hunt!
