Good morning Reception Children. Today we will be starting to write our own stories, just like Eric Carle did with The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Remember that Wednesday is 'Welly Wednesday' and the afternoon should be spent outdoors if possible (there will be no live session this afternoon). Explore your garden and look for any minibeasts you can find. This will help you when you write your story and illustrate it.

I am learning to pay for items using a 2p coin and a 1p coin.
Today I would like you to look at the attached sheet and try and ‘pay’ for the items on it using 1p and 2p coins. If you don’t have a printer don’t worry. You can use items from around the house and write your own prices on them. Challenge yourself to pay for more expensive items with 1p and 2p coins.
