Smelly science!
This week in science we have been learning all about our sense of smell. One of our challenges was to smell 5 mystery jars and try to guess what was inside. Some smells were very strong and others were much weaker. Some smells were lovely, others not so much! Once we had identified the smells (chocolate, coffee, garlic, coconut and mint) we ordered them from strongest to weakest, talking about how we decide if a smell is strong or weak. Some of us said a strong smell was a big smell or something that was easy to smell. Weaker smells are more gentle on our noses and harder to sniff!
