Building Bridges
Our DT topic this term has been all about bridges. We have looked at different bridge designs and talked about what makes them strong, what their purpose is and who would use them the most. This week we had the challenge to build our own bridge using craft materials. Our bridge had to be strong enough to hold 10 cubes. We had to think about strength, balance and how to make our bridges look attractive. We practiced different ways to make card and paper strong first and then got to work to make our bridge designs. We all worked really well and had lots of fun testing our bridges once we had made them.
