Good afternoon everyone, I hope you've had a good day? I know some of you have been waiting for the rain to ease so you can get outside; hopefully that has happened for you.

It's been lovely seeing your work today; you look like you're enjoying the Animals unit in Literacy and Mrs Rothwell sent photos from some of our class who are in school today to show what they have been doing.

Good morning everyone, it's the 1st July! The start of our last month today as Year 2  Let's make it a good month! Next week you will be doing some activities to send to Mr Davies so he can see how fabulous you are.

What about today? You will be writing a poem about zoo animals. Think about using different adjectives to describe the animals; could you use alliteration so the first sound is the same in each word (happy hippo, enormous elephant).

In Maths you will be comparing volume; here comes the hungry crocodile!

In Topic you will be investigating Dinosaurs. I already know which ones of you will want to do this lesson first!
