The ten times table - once you've got the hang of it, you'll know it by heart. Log in to Mathletics and the assignment "Grouping in Tens".

How many groups of ten have we got here? Let's count...

5 groups of 10. "Groups of" is another way of saying "times", so 5 x 10 =

We could count every single dot there, but there's an easier way....5 groups of 10 is 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10. In other words, count up in 10, 5 times. 10, 20, 30, 40, 50

You'll very quickly spot a pattern...good luck!
