National Restart a Heart Day!
Today was National Restart a Heart Day and Year 6 took part in a virtual First Aid training session which taught them all about the signs of cardiac arrest and what to do if they were suddenly in that situation. It was organised by Laura Myers from Lancashire Learning and we also had Cheryl - a real life paramedic who answered lots of questions as well as teaching us a lot! We were one of over 60 schools taking part and were able to interact using the chat function and the children gave some great contributions. The children all learned about how to perform CPR and were told how to make a correct and informative 999 call. It was a brand new way of learning for us and the children certainly enjoyed it! Well done Year 6!
