  • Leaver's Assembly 2019!

    Today our Year 6 children presented an assembly to their parents and friends here at Northern before they head off to their new high schools! The children have made lots of memories and are all excited for the new chapter in their lives. Good Luck Year 6!
  • Infants' Teddy Bear's Picnic

    This morning, our Year 1, 2 and 3 children had their achievements for this academic year celebrated in our Celebration Assembly which was hosted by Mrs Marr. The children then took to the yard for a Teddy Bear's picnic with their friends and families. Everyone had a great time and took part in eating, drinking, laughing and some even chose to complete the teddy activities that had been left out for them to do. The winner of the best Teddy Bear was Bailey in Year 3. Well done and thank you to all the parents who were able to attend. 
  • Juniors' Teddy Bear's Picnic

    This afternoon, our Year 4, 5 and 6 children had their achievements for this academic year celebrated in our Celebration Assembly which was hosted by Mrs Marr. The children then took to the yard for a Teddy Bear's picnic with their friends and families. Everyone had a great time and took part in eating, drinking and chatting! The winner of the best Teddy Bear was Jack from Year 4. Well done and thank you to all the parents who were able to attend. 
  • Northern's Got Talent

    Today our children watched a fantastic entertaining show hosted by Miss Nuttall. Northern's Got Talent showed the talents of singers, dancers, gymnastics, magicians, comedians, kick boxers and pianist. Ronnie, Mr Syers, Mrs Rigby and Mr Davies were the judges and they were amazing too! Our Key Stage 1 winner was Ava aka The Singing Sensation and our Key Stage 2 winner was The Girl Squad! Well done Northern!
  • Reception's Graduation

    Today our Reception children invited their parents into school to watch their graduation ceremony. The children were presented with their certificates to show they are now ready to step into Year 1. It was lovely to see all the parents and grandparents come to see this special ceremony. Well done Reception!
  • Year 6 Leaver's Prom

    Last night our hall was magically transformed into a venue fit for princes and princesses. The Year 6 children arrived in style in party buses looking very glamorous and then stepped into the decorated hall for dancing, pizza and lots of fun! The children looked amazing and it was a lovely evening enjoyed by both staff and children. Thank you Year 6!
  • Tag Rugby Festival

    Today our Year 5 and 6 Tag Rugby teams attended the Tag Rugby Festival which is held at Marl Pits. They competed against several other schools and performed fantastically. They showed super sportsmanship and team work and represented Northern well. Well done Year 6!
  • Aspirations Week

    This week in school we have been holding our Aspirations Week. We have held this to help children explore the endless job opportunities that are out there for them. We have had visits from a civil engineer, the police, the fire service, a nurse, a journalist, a company director, Warburtons and the editor from Newsround himself - Paul Plunkett! The children have had a fantastic time and now have lots of amazing job ideas! Well done Northern!
  • Baptist Leavers’ Assembly

    Today Peter and Margaret from Trinity Baptist came into school to present our Year 6 children with their leaver’s books. The children were wished all the success for high school. Well done Year 6!
  • Year 4 Music Concert

    Today our Year 4 children wowed Year 5 and 6 and their parents with their talents. They played along to songs, showed off their improvisation skills as well as their singing skills. Every parent who attended showed their children how proud they were by having amazing smiles on their faces. Well done Year 4!
