Literacy

In Literacy we are starting to write the beginning to our story. Use your story mountain to guide you through your writing. Your beginning should include the introduction and build.

Take a look at an example I have written.

Once upon a time, there was a boy called Tim who lived with his mum. They owned a burger van, but they were struggling for money. Tim’s mum told Tim to take their precious camel to the market to sell. On the way he bumped into an old man who offered to swap his precious camel for five magic beans. These were not just any magic beans; they were magic baked beans. Tim went home and showed the baked beans to his mum. Tim’s mum was furious, so she threw the baked beans out of the window. She sent Tim to bed with no supper. Tim knew that these beans were magic and the next day when he woke up a huge, winding beanstalk had grown. Don't forget to use the success criteria to check your work.

Maths

In maths we are continuing exploring money.

We are looking at using our understand of number bonds to 20 to find two items them we could buy if we had to spend 20p.

Using the image below can you work out the items you could buy with 20p?
