Chinese Dragon Workshop

Year 1 had a great time this morning (Monday 3rd February) learning the art of Chinese Dragon Dancing as part of our learning about Chinese New Year.  They listened well and tried really hard to practice the moves well!  We found out that red is a lucky colour to the Chinese and that children get envelopes with money inside during new year.  The dragon head has a mirror on it to scare away the evil spirits!  All of the children  should have lots of good luck for the year now that they have performed a traditional dance. Well done Year 1!
