  • Athletics Competition

    Wed 27 Nov 2019
Today 17 of our Year 6 children represented Northern in the Athletics competition at The Valley. They worked hard and competed well in all of  their events. It was one of the closest qualifying stages in the whole competition and only 16 points separated the qualifying teams. There were some nail biting moments! The children showed phenomenal team spirit and sportsmanship and made us immensely proud. Well done team!

  • A visit from The Bethany Project

Mon 25 Nov 2019 Mrs Ewens

Today we were so lucky at Northern as The Bethany Project came to our school.  All of the children and their teachers were extremely inspirational and we were honoured that they felt they could share their life stories with us.

They performed several songs which really impressed all the children in our school.  They also showed us how they carry water when they live in the villages of Tanzania.  Girls as young as seven carry containers of water containing 10 litres and the older children and ladies can carry up to 30 litres on their heads.  It made us all really think about how lucky we are to have access to fresh running water at all times.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us at Northern.
