Friday 5th February

Hi Reception Class.  You have completed another week of home learning, well done!  We only have one more week before we can all have a rest for half term and you can relax and play all day with your family.

Here is today's phonics -

Here is maths for today -

I am learning to recognise and name 3D shapes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guNdJ5MtX1A&safe=active

Today you will either be using the sheets which are attached to identify and name the shapes or, if you don’t have a printer, you can build your own 3D picture and then label the shapes.  I can’t wait to see your pictures!

Literacy/topic -

The Maasai are a tribe who have lived in areas of Kenya for hundreds of years. They are nomadic cattle herders, which means they move with their herds of cows from place to place. Their jewellery is made of colourful beads arranged into patterns. The colours they like to combine in these patterns are blue, green, red, yellow, orange, black and white.

Today I would like you to have a go at making your own necklace.  You could use pasta, paper, string, paints, colours - anything at all really!  Have a look at all the colourful pictures online and we will have a look at some examples of home made ones in our live lesson too.  I can't wait to see these!
