What makes a plant grow?
This term, to introduce our topic of 'What makes a plant grow?' We talked about what a plant was and how to identify different trees by their leaves. We discussed what plants we know and what we would like to find out before going up onto the field (thank you weather!) to see how many different plants we could find. The children really enjoyed this and were quite surprised at how many different plants our field had to offer. Lots of the children found what they thought were bluebells, but when we got back to class and looked at our flower picture records they discovered that they were actually forget-me-nots! It was a lovely fun afternoon out in the sunshine.
