  • Special night-time visitor at Northern.

    Wed 15 Dec 2021

Last night, underneath the secrecy of darkness, Northern had a very special visitor. Not only did he sneak in to our Grotto but he also visited every classroom. At every classroom, he left a special sack of presents. Father Christmas also sent a special message to the Reception children, the Year 1 children and the Year 2 children. The school was most definitely echoing with shrieks of excited children this morning as they watched the footage of Father Christmas sneaking around our dark, deserted school and saw that he had left each of them a present.

  • Something magical has happened...

    Wed 08 Dec 2021

Last night, Mrs Marr turned off the Christmas tree lights in the school hall, locked up school and set the school alarm before driving home. When Mrs Marr unlocked school this morning she was greeted by an unusual sight - the Christmas tree had completely vanished from the school hall.

When Mrs Marr opened the doors to the Den and stage she was amazed to see an extremely magical sight. There on the stage was the Christmas tree in what can only be described as a North Pole setting complete with a very special looking chair. Could this really be Father Christmas' chair?

The children have all promised to be on their very best behaviour in case Father Christmas is watching to see if he should visit us all at Northern next week.

  • Year 1 Trip to Gawthorpe Hall!

    Wed 08 Dec 2021

Year 1 went on their first ever trip and spent the morning at Gawthorpe Hall learning all about Victorian Christmas time. The best and most special part was when they got to meet Father Christmas himself and he told them all about what toys and presents he used to leave children in Victorian times as well as hearing the children tell him about what they would like this year! The children had a very magical morning and behaved fantastically!
