Well a very good morning to you all!
Let’s have glance through what all you little lovelies have been getting up to over the three-day weekend.
Blair has been caring for and riding this beautiful horse... as you can see, for many years! Lovely photos Blair.
Jack has been a little superstar, having a tea party on VE day. Riding his bike - showing resilience when he unfortunately took a little tumble. He's also been teaching his rats how to jump!
Jack's family found a photo of his Grandad. Can you believe how much Jack looks like him?! Great photos. Thank you for sharing them.
This little boy has a very big, bubbly personality. He loves to tell us about his new baby brother and how he helps settle him at home. He makes everyone laugh in class - including the adults! He has a wonderful sense of humour. He loves to play lots of different games and always adds his amazing imagination to them! He's a fabulous reader and is always ready to help others in the class. He is our little spud of the class. Can you guess who?
Right, let's get learning!
This week, our literacy lessons will be based on... CROCODILES!
Watch the clip below to find out some facts about crocodiles.
I would like you to write ten full sentences describing the facts you have learned about crocodiles.
They could start with;
Hop on to that amazing app, reading eggs! You're doing well Year 3. Very well.
I would like to focus on time tables again this week. We have to know all our time tables by the end of Year 4 so it's good to start learning now. Head on to 'Hit the Button' following the link below. Practise your 2s, 4s, 5s, 10s and if you think you can - challenge yourself on your 8s. You might want to write them down first!
Year 3, we're going to jump back on to The Romans!
So far, we have learned;
How The Romans Conquered Britain
Why The Romans Didn't Conquer Scotland and
What It Was Like In Roman Britain
It would be really useful if you look back over the work you have already done on The Romans so you can remember key people and facts, your word mat should help you!
Now, watch this clip about a day in the life of a rich Roman boy.
I would like you to write 3 reasons why you wouldn't like to have lived during Roman times and
3 reasons why you would.
Wouldn't - I wouldn't like to have lived in Roman times because the food sounds absolutely disgusting.
Would - They had central heating so at least I wouldn't be cold!
Well Year 3. Have a wonderful day of learning.
I would just like to say thank you to you all for staying so positive and working so hard.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to your parents for all the effort they are putting in! It's not easy, Year 3.
Make sure you're thanking them for all their help.
The pictures being sent in of all the fun and creative things you have been doing have been a real boost for my positive thinking too!
I miss you all so much.
