Remote Learning Week 2 Day 4

Good Morning Year 3!

Well, today is a little bit different for me, I'm in school! It's very odd knowing all of your lovely little faces won't be walking in to class. I'm still hoping to be able to get back to via email as soon as possible if you need anything.

Now, let's have a look at what everyone has been up to!

Max B has finished some excellent homophone work and has complete some lovely French work! He even went above and beyond and looked at French colours too!

Isla also did really well with the French number work. Lovely work Isla.

Then, Isla got to work on her helpful jobs list. We all know Isla is super helpful in class so she was always going to do well with this task!

Miley N sent in some incredible work yesterday! She's clearly been working hard on our remote learning tasks. All of her work is beautifully presented (as always) and I do really love the Easter card!

Let's get learning today!

GUESS WHO

Isla guessed it correctly, I have to say, she's the best guesser! It was indeed, Jack!

Miss Collin's has got another great one today... This little girl has a huge heart. She is honest, trustworthy, a very good friend to all and a full of magical ideas! She's so honest that the class always choose her to give out team points when whole class tasks are set. She never just chooses her friends she really does choose who is doing the right thing and doing the best. She always gives a great speech before choosing her team point winner! Big clue? Miss Collins calls her Grandma! Can you guess who?

Literacy

Today, I'd like you to create a poster that we could use in class. Pick the homophones that you find trickiest. Draw them with a picture that helps you remember which spelling is for which meaning. Just like the picture below. I'd like at least 4 homophones on the poster. I'd love to see pictures of your bright, colourful, beautiful posters at the end of the day!

Reading

Carry on with your Reading Eggs, they'll be a special announcement about Reading Eggs on Friday so get on it as much as you can before then! It seems the children who are doing the lessons are earning the most eggs!

Maths

I've set up a timetables task on Mathletics for you. If you finish this quickly, I'd really like you to have a go on the 'play' section. Or have a look at the timetables toons. They really are fantastic and catchy! If you could sen in a video of you singing along to one and thinking of some dance moves, we could follow your lead when we're all back in school!

RE

In RE, we have been looking at Jesus and his disciples. We looked at who his disciples were and why they followed Jesus. A reason you all said for Simon Peter choosing to become a 'fisher of man' was because Jesus performed a miracle for him. Watch this video clip below and then write a list of all the miracles Jesus performs. You could draw a picture for each too!
