9am - 9:30am: PE with Joe Wicks (link below)

9:30am - 10:30am Maths

For the first 15 minutes you are going to warm up your maths brain using the link below. 

For the rest of this session, you are going to be completing the Number of the Week (document below)

10:30am - 11am BREAK

11am - 12pm: Literacy: Discover what ‘The Space Race’ was, by reading and watching these sources - making notes as you read (video and link below). Imagine you have been asked to create a page for ‘Science + Nature’ magazine – about the Space Race. A sample of the magazine can be found below. When designing your magazine page, you may wish to consider including these features: 1) an exciting title - fun-fact / ‘Did you know?’ boxes  2) subtitles for your different sections 3) Be creative with your layout – use different fact boxes and images to make your page exciting to the reader

4) You may also want to include additional features, such as a quiz or word search.

12pm- 1pm LUNCH

1pm - 2pm: Topic Work: Today’s topic work is PSHE. You are going to be thinking carefully about how Northern includes the Rights Respecting School Award in our lessons, our assemblies, school councils etc. Watch the clip and have a look at the Unicef website to refresh your memories. Then read the document carefully and answer the questions in as much detail as you can and then I can show Mrs Egan that Year 6 know all about RRSA. Document below.

2pm - 2:30pm BREAK

2:30pm - 3:00pm: Use this short session to work on one Spice Grid activity and bear in mind that it may take more than one session to complete it.

3:00pm - 3:20pm
