Good morning Year 3
Another bright and beautiful day. Let's try and get some vitamin D today! While maintaining social distance and keeping safe of course.
I had some amazing emails yesterday. It's so lovely to hear from you.
Let's have a look at what you little stars have been up to!
Firstly, Jack has been working hard on the tasks, enjoying the sunshine and learning all about compost. Jack also guessed the guess who! It was of course Jackson! Well done Jack!
LET'S PLAY GUESS WHO
Miss Collins has chosen a girl today. This girl walks in to class every single morning with a beautiful cheery smile on her face. She is super friendly, bubbly and laughs a lot. When it comes to tidying up, you often find her chatting away to her friends! But, if one of her friends is hurt she's always the first to offer them help and look after them until she makes them smile again. This was one of the reasons she recently won Star of the Week!
Finally, if anyone in the class trumps - this girl is the first to announce there is a definite smell in the classroom!
Do you think you know who this is? Take a guess! Let's see if you're right tomorrow!
Okay, today's tasks!
We're going to finish our stories today. Once their finished, you may receive a Purple Mash award! You'd have to hand in super work to get a special award. As always, see the example below and 'tips' to try and help you with your writing. Good luck!
I'm just going to set the normal tasks on Mathletics. Hopefully the problem solving and reasoning tasks will be easier to set soon. I've emailed Mathletics and they've said they're working on it! If you finish the task quite quickly, have a go on the 'play' section! There's lots of fun games and you can still earn certificates!
I am so impressed with how well you are all using Reading Eggs (Year 3 use it the most! 88 hours altogether so far! Go team!)
Please, keep using it for your reading time. Unless of course, you have a fabulous book at home that you're reading? Send in a picture if you have! I'm reading The School at the top of the Dale at the moment... does just make me miss school more though! Might have to pick a different story!
Remember looking at the Stone Age with Mr Ball when we read Stig of the Dump? What I would like you to do is create a timeline from the Stone age to the Bronze Age.
Watch these video clips and use the example timeline to help you.
If you can send me your timelines I'll post the on next Monday's page as examples of great work!
