Remote Learning Day 12

9am - 9:30am: PE

9:30am - 10:30am: Maths

For the first 10-15 mins, practise your multiplication and division facts using the interactive resource (weblink below) 

For the rest of the session, it will be division word problems (documents below). I have attached the answers for you to check that your answer is correct. If you have not got it correct, then please work out again and see if you can spot your error.

10:30am - 11am BREAK

11am - 12pm: Literacy. This week, Literacy may overrun into the afternoon slots.

1) Watch Harry Potter seeing Diagon Alley for the first time (clip below) and write down any similarities to the Nowhere Emporium description yesterday.

2)Write five sentences to describe what Harry can see. Think about how to open your sentences in different ways, e.g. ‘ing opener’ such as: ‘Peering intently, Harry saw wonders he had never seen before’.

3) Now read the extract which describes this scene – scroll down to Diagon Alley (weblink below). Which do you think was the most effective, text or film, to describe Diagon Alley?

4) Task: Write down your response giving evidence from both what you have read and watched.

2:30pm - 3:00pm: Geography

Around the World in the Summer Term. Choose a country/city that you would love to visit and create a mind map all about it. I would love to create a tab on our home page for all of your friends to look and learn about a vast amount of places in our amazing world! This task may take up to 3 of these sessions a week if you are to complete it fully!. There is an example attached below.
