Monday 11th May

Good afternoon Reception Class.  I hope you have all had a great day today and have enjoyed our new topic.  I have received some great feedback again.  Don't forget to email me if you need any of your log in details for Mathletics, Reading Eggs or Purple Mash.

Here is some of your learning today -

Good morning Reception Class!  I am sorry that I am a little later checking in this morning but my Wifi and laptop has been playing games with me this morning!

I hope that you have all had a great bank holiday weekend and have been able to enjoy the lovely sunshine (although we are now back in woolly jumpers and tights!).

The topic this week is Down on the Farm.  I'm sure that you are going to love the activities this week.  I am looking forward to receiving emails and pictures to show how you have got on!

Literacy and topic

Watch and enjoy the story What the Ladybird Heard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu9mPX7DuLA. Listen again and join in with any animal sounds. Ask your child: What did you like about the story? Which animals lived on the farm? What were the thieves planning to steal? What was the ladybird’s clever plan? What might the ladybird have said at the end? Draw a picture of the ladybird and write a speech bubble, e.g. My plan worked or I saved the prize cow!

Maths

It's time for the Number of the Week again!

Don't forget you can use counters to help you.  If you don't have access to a printer then you can write it out on paper.
