Time to get a big more hands on and practical for this maths investigation, Year 4. Below there are 9 triangles - each side of the triangle is a number and a colour. You have to arrange these 9 smaller triangles into one big triangle like this;
Easy peasy, right! Well here's the challenge - any sides of the smaller triangles that face each other have to -
1) Be the same colour.
2) Add up to 10.
You can have any colour or number on the outside edge.The number nine is written with a straight line down the side, and six has a curl, so you don't mix them up.
