Year 4's trip

Year 4 had a fantastic time on Monday learning about Ancient Egypt by studying the life of Egyptian noblewoman Asru, who lived approximately 2,500 years ago, including seeing her mummy and handling real objects dating back more than 4,000 years to the time of the pharaohs, including good luck charms, kohl pots, hieroglyphic writing and statuettes the Egyptians believed would serve them in the afterlife. We also tried our hand at pyramid building!
After lunch we explored the vivarium to observe iguanas, chameleons, poison arrow frogs, lizards and snakes in a replication of their natural habitats. We also saw some extinct animals including a cast of Stan the T-rex!
