Today at Northern, Year 6 took part in a first aid session delivered by Dawn and Alan from Rossendale First Responders in partnership with the British Heart Foundation. They came into school to show our Year 6 pupils valuable life-saving skills such as CPR and how to place someone in the Recovery position as well as how to deal with serious bleeding and suspected heart attacks. The children were also trained in making an emergency 999 or 112 number. They worked extremely hard with a fantastic level of maturity that made me proud beyond belief. They were all successful and will receive a certificate to say they have completed the course. Well done Year 6!
