Well, the day finally arrived. On Sunday morning, Year 6 along with a team of dedicated (and sleepy) teachers boarded a coach at a very early 8 O'Clock and headed off to Anfield to sing at the Four Nations Rugby Final. The weather was on our side which meant a smooth journey into Liverpool and a lovely dry day, even with some sunshine to perform in! The children were FANTASTIC! The day was long and involved a lot of rehearsals, organising standing positions, soundchecks etc but the children didn't complain once and behaved perfectly. They set an excellent example to other schools around them and did Northern proud. It was amazing to see the children sing so well during their performances and myself and the other teachers could not have been more proud of them. It was a shame that the TV coverage did not show better coverage of what the Chant Voices Choir did that day, but never the less I think the children had an amazing day and experienced something that will remain with them always. Well done Year 6!
