Today in Year 6, we were very lucky to have Wendy and Christine from Bacup Natural History Society come into class and tell us all about the project 'Keeping the Home Fires Burning, Mrs Ibbitts 1917 Shop and Parlour'. Wendy told the children all about the project and how they were going to be involved. The children asked some super questions and are looking forward to doing their own research next term as well as cultivating their cabbages, beetroot and carrots. We braved the horrendous weather and the muddy field (wellies were a gift) and the children all had the opportunity to plant some crops. A massive thank you to all involved.
